About this Class

David Nieto González was born in the city of San Fernando (Cádiz) in 1988. His first steps were taken by his teacher Maria José Coca, from a very early age his artistic beginnings are clearly defined in Spanish Dance and Flamenco.

Graduated from the professional dance conservatory of Cádiz “MARIBEL GALLARDO”, it led him to participate in various choreographic competitions at the Andalusian level, obtaining several awards such as:

Three first prizes in the choreographic competition of the Cádiz Dance Conservatory, a first, second and third prize in the choreographic competitions of the professional dance conservatories of Andalusia.

In 2002 he joined the flamenco folklore group “ADOLFO DE CASTRO” in his professional career. Since 2004 she has been part of Javier Marín's Spanish and flamenco dance company.

In 2007 she was part of the “SARA BARAS” company, collaborating on the tours programmed by the artist in the shows “BABORES”, “JUANA LA LOCA”, “ESENCIAS” and “BARAS/CARRERAS”.

In 2010 his artistic work was rewarded by obtaining first prize in the XIII national dance competition for Alegrías, organized by the flamenco club “LA PERLA DE CADIZ”.

On December 4 of that same year, he premiered his own large-format show “RUBRICA”.

A work based on the historical events of the general courts of Cádiz from 1810 – 1812, playing the role of FERNANDO VII “El DESEADO”.

In 2012 he premiered his second show “AL SON DE IDA Y VUELTA” where David gives us a tour of these songs and dances, showing us his most creative and personal side.

On September 2, 2013, he inaugurated his own Flamenco School in San Fernando, where to date he teaches classes and courses both at school and abroad, in addition to combining his career as a professional dancer throughout the world.

In 2018 he received the award for the most relevant artist of the V Festival de la Isla Ciudad Flamenca.

He is also part of the Cádiz Flamenco Ballet.
